An exploration of the ethical dilemmas surrounding live organ donation, focusing on Jewish law perspectives and the moral complexities of donating a kidney to save a life. Drawing from both medical and religious frameworks, Dr. Eisenberg provides both the technical data as well as the ethical principles that guide organ donation, offering an opportunity to reflect on altruism, consent, and the role of ethics in life-saving decisions.

Dr. Daniel Eisenberg
Dr. Daniel Eisenberg is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at Thomas Jefferson University and a practicing radiologist at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he serves on the IRB and previously was a member of the hospital's ethics committee. A renowned speaker in Jewish medical ethics, Dr. Eisenberg has lectured globally and served as the ethics scholar-in-residence for the New England Institute for Jewish Studies and the Schlesinger Institute. He has published extensively in both scholarly and lay publications, including The Jewish Press, Assia-Jewish Medical Ethics, and Aish.com. He also developed a web-based ethics module for the American Board of Radiology.
